Mr. Mukesh Sharma is presently serving as the Presiding Member of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Maharashtra, at its Mumbai Bench. He was appointed as a Member of the Commission after securing first rank in the competitive selection process.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Mumbai University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, Pune. In addition to his legal qualifications, Mr. Sharma also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications (BCA) from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune and has completed specialized diploma courses in Cyber Crime and Web Development, reflecting his commitment to staying updated with evolving technology and its intersection with law.
Mr. Sharma began his legal practice and assisted Senior Advocates at the Supreme Court of India and the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). He later established a practice before the Bombay High Court, as well as the District and Sessions Courts in Mumbai and Thane. Over the past decade, he has gained extensive experience and thoroughly practiced in a wide spectrum of matters, including complex and old Civil, Criminal, Consumer, Family, Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT), Revenue, as well as practised before the State Police Complaints Authority (SPCA), State Human Rights Commission, Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), Competent Authority Rent, Court of Small Causes, Registrar of Societies and also dealt with the service-related matters of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
Before entering the legal profession, he has trained thousands of professionals on diverse IT topics. He has delivered lectures on legal subjects to legal professionals and law students.
